The name “Desigual,” meaning “different” in Spanish, was coined by the esteemed Spanish film director Isabel Coixet. She remarked that the clothing concept was exceptionally unique. Thomas Meyer, her friend and the founder of Desigual, was captivated by this term and adopted it for the brand.
